What this site is
CyberWorld is an information-only publication. We publish articles about cybersecurity awareness. We do not offer accounts, logins, downloads, or any product or service that requires you to create a profile with us.
What we collect
Because this is a read-only information site, we collect very little directly from you:
- Nothing, if you just read articles. Browsing the site does not require you to submit any personal information.
- Standard server logs. Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider automatically logs technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used only for security and basic traffic analysis.
- Information you send us directly. If you email or call us using the details on our Contact page, we retain that correspondence to respond to you.
Advertising, third-party vendors & cookies
This site uses Google AdSense, an advertising service provided by Google, to display ads. Google acts as a third-party vendor and, together with the other advertising partners it works with, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) and similar tracking technologies to serve ads on this site based on your prior visits to this website and other websites across the internet.
These cookies allow Google and its partners to serve personalized ads based on your interests and browsing history, and to measure how ads perform. No content of this site's articles is shared with advertisers beyond standard, aggregated traffic data — advertising cookies are set and read by Google and its partner networks, not by CyberWorld directly.
You can control how your data is used for advertising in a few ways:
- Opt out of personalized advertising from Google entirely by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
- Opt out of personalized advertising from other participating third-party vendors by visiting www.aboutads.info.
- Disable cookies generally through your browser's settings — note this may affect other functionality on this and other sites, not just advertising.
For more detail on how Google specifically uses data when you use its partners' sites or apps, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Analytics
If analytics software (such as Google Analytics or a privacy-focused alternative) is added to this site, it will be disclosed here, along with any related cookie-consent requirements.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for a general adult audience and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
